Sharon Ranan, an art therapist and certified instructor on behalf of YHT, a psychotherapist with a psychoanalytic approach, joined the faculty of the department in 2022 Ms. Sharon Ranan is an art therapist with experience in mental health settings and worked for over a decade in the department for dual morbidity at the Abarbanal Mental Health Center - where she treated men dealing with active mental illness and substance addiction and mentored female and male students.
She was a member of the team of therapists of the "For Every Soul" association, which offers intensive psychotherapeutic treatment in the public sector to patients suffering from serious disorders. In the past, she also had experience in the field of rehabilitation in mental health and she was even a partner in establishing a rehabilitation-social framework for post-hospitalized youth.
For 7 years she worked in a preschool development center, mentored and managed a sector of arts therapists and was part of the center's multi-professional steering team. In the past, she treated in the framework of special education, and was part of the establishment team of the field of treatment at a school for youth with learning disabilities, emotional difficulties and behavioral disorders. Sharon Renan's interests are dreams, gender in therapy and society, mind-body issues, language and culture in therapy
