Sveta Dorosheva is a creative artist and writer known for her detailed narrative illustrations and state-of-the-art books. She merges traditional motifs with contemporary ideas, creating art for books, movies, museums, and brands that captivates and inspires audiences worldwide.
Sveta studied English language and literature at Zaporizhzhya State University in Ukraine. In 2009, she moved with her family to Israel and has been focusing on her art ever since and exhibiting her work in solo and group exhibitions both home and abroad. Her books were translated into ten languages, she has done art for numerous publishers, including Disney/Hyperion, Harper Collins, Penguin Random House and Macmillan. Her notable projects include key visual art for the British Library’s exhibition “Fantasy: Realms of Imagination” (UK, 2023); working as a lead artist for the “Courage to Act: Danish Rescue” exhibition at the New York Museum of Jewish Heritage (US, 2023); collaborating with Big Indie Pictures on “The True Adventures of Wolfboy” movie (2019); and illustrating the bestseller picture book “Anne Frank” in the critically acclaimed Little People, Big Dreams series (2018).
